　　微博(microblog)就相当于是中国的推特(Twitter)。在汉语里，微博的发音像是“围脖”，写一个微博通常称为“织围脖”。微博可以写任何内容，从批判性的评论到情绪和感受的表达均可。微博博主(microblogger)会有一群粉丝去浏览他们的网页并给予相应评论。许多微博博主认为，这种新媒体已经在许多方面改变了他们的生活。用户发现，和传统媒体相比，微博使获取信息和交友更加容易。此外，只要愿意，人们可以随时随地记录自己的想法。

　　The microblog is an equivalent to Twitter in China.Weibo sounds like “scarf”in Chinese and to write amicroblog is usually called “knitting a scarf”.Thecontent can be anything varying from criticalcomments to the expression of moods and feelings.Microbloggers can have a group of fans who visit their webpages and give correspondingcomments. Many microbloggers believe the new medium has changed their lives in many ways.The users find microblogs make it easier to access information and make friends compared totraditional media. In addition, people can record their thoughts whenever and wherever theylike.

　　1.在汉语里，微博的发音像是“围脖”，写一个微博通常称为“织围脖”:“发音像”可译sound like; “感官动词+like”表示“…像”，如：look like(看起来像)，smell like(闻起来像);“被称为”可用be called表示,也可用be dubbed as 表示，dub意为“给…起绰号，把…称作”。

　　2.许多微博博主认为，这种新媒体已经在许多方面改变了他们的生活：“认为” 可译为believe,也可译为think或consider等;“在许多方面”可译为in many ways或in many aspects。

　　3.用户发现，和传统媒体相比，微博使获取信息和交友更加容易：“和传统媒体相比”可译为 compared totraditional media, compare to 意为“与…相比”，compare with也有这个意思;“使…更加容易”可译为make…easier; “交友”译为 make friends。
