　　A Letter of Application to the Student Union

　　June 20th To whom it may concern, I'm writing the letter to apply for the chance to do the research on the compulsory education in the west of our country.

　　My purpose in participating in this activity is to serve the society as well as to enrich my experience.

　　I once worked for the Organization Department of the Student Union and have conducted some similar researches.

　　The working experience has greatly cultivated my team work spirit and sense of cooperation.

　　Besides, as a young person from a western province, I am quite familiar with the local culture and customs.

　　If needed, I think we'd better invite some local people to accompany us, when we are to do researches in some remote areas.

　　If I am luckily chosen, I will undoubtedly cherish the chance and make every endeavor for this research.
