　　Campus safety is a serious problem that is worth our attention in education, especially when tragic events happened. The stampede at a middle school in Hunan Province which took eight teenagers’ lives and injured 26 others still stuck in our mind.

　　The tragic events serve as a warning sign to call on everyone to protect campus. Schools across the country should treat safety education seriously and put it into action compulsorily. Besides, they should revise their emergency preparedness plans and tighten security. For example, security guards should patrol campus seriously such as teaching buildings and student dorms, and enforce strict entrance checks, barring entry to anyone carrying a gun or a knife.

　　As students, we should strengthen our knowledge of safety, which requires us to be alert to some potential hazards in our daily life. For example, lock the dorm at night or whenever we are alone in dorm.

　　Every child is not only their parents’ treasure, but also the hope of a country. So as a gathering place, campus safety is proved to be of great signification.

　　However, in recent years campus security is being threatened. For example some people, who have been through something bad will take revenge on the society. Because they think it’s the society who brings them disaster. And school is important to society while students are the vulnerable group, who don’t have much ability to fight back. So they can easily success. It’s high time that we should take measures to keep a safe campus. First of all, the school should hire more responsible janitors and make specific rules to prevent the social people from stepping into the campus. Secondly, when hiring new teachers, the school should not only consider their teaching skill but also their personal quality. The school also has to make some speechs for students to increase their safe consciousness.

　　In a word, it needs all of us to spare no effort to keep campus safe, and people no matter whose work is can contribute to help the student grow healthy.
