　　Nowadays,the urban traffic is getting increasingly heavy in China. The roads and streets are packed with cars,bicycles and pedestrians,and traffic jams and accidents have become commonplace.

　　The people and government have all realized that effective measures should be taken before things get worse.For example,the govemment should invest more in constructing new roads and repairing and maintenance of old ones,particularly those in busy areas of cities.Besides,more public bus routes and more subways should be opened up so that more people will take the public transportation instead of traveling by private cars or bicycles.At the same time,it is essential that stricter traffic rules and regulations be issued to strengthen traffic control and facilitate the normal and efficient running of all means of transportation.
