　　Miao Ancient Songs are pieces of an epic created by Miao ancestors through a long time of productive work. They cover a wide range of subjects from the birth of the Universe, the origin of human and species, the creation of the world and the fierce flood in the primitive period; to the big migration of Miao ethnic group and their ancient social rules and daily work and life, etc. Therefore, they became a collection of Miao ancient fairy tales. In 2006, Miao Ancient Songs were included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
