　　As the organizer of the project, I am writing this report to tell you what have been done about the book collecting project. The details will be listed in the following.

　　To start with, in response to the university's advocation of thrift habit, the Students’ Union held a project of second-hand book collection at 3 p.m. last Friday. The purpose of the activity was to collect and clean the used books and give them to the newcomers who need them. Secondly, I have to say that all the members in our union are warm-hearted and responsible. They not only took part in the project punctually, but also called on their friends to join in it. We have collected more than 500 books, most of which are preserved in good condition. Lastly, since some students on campus are still asking for information about the collection of the used book, I believe this project will benefit more schoolmates if we hold another one in the coming week.

　　To summarize, the project turned out to be a huge success and it is worth the effort to organize this kind of meaningful activity on a regular basis.
