　　The transmission of coal from northern to southern China refers to the transmission of the coal from North China, in particular Shanxi, northern Shaanxi and western Inner Mongolia, to East and South China, mainly Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong. Since most of China’s coal resources are concentrated in Shanxi, northern Shaanxi and western Inner Mongolia, and the major coal users are mainly concentrated in East and South China, the transmission of coal from northern to southern China is of great significance to China’s economic development and to ensure optimal use of the coal resources.
