　　外汇储备又称外汇存底，是一个国家货币当局持有并可随时兑换外国货币的资产。我国和世界其他国家在对外贸易与国际结算中经常使用的外汇储备主要有美元、欧元、日元、英镑等。中国外汇储备的主要组成部分是美元资产，主要持有形式是美国国债和机构债券。中国外汇储备作为国家资产，由中国人民银行下属的中国国家外汇管理局管理，部分实际业务操作由中国银行进行。

　　Foreign exchange reserves, also known as foreign exchange stocks, are the assets held by a country’s monetary authority and can be converted at any time. The foreign exchange reserves usually used in foreign trade and international settlement between China and other countries in the world mainly include the US Dollar, Euro, Yen and Pound. China’s foreign exchange reserves are mainly composed of Dollar assets in the form of American treasury bonds and institutional bonds. As national assets, the foreign exchange reserves of Chinese mainland are under the management of the China State Administration of Foreign Exchange under People’s Bank of China, with part of practical business operations being carried out by Bank of China.
